Just said good-bye to an old friend (It's a jacket!)


My personal WWII A-2 flight jacket has just been sold to a chap in the USA. If this jacket could talk, I'm sure it would have plenty to say, but maybe plenty that none of us would feel comfortable listening to either. So it will be winging it's way home to California in the next few days. Sad really, as I'm very attached to this piece of vintage history, but it's time to pass it onto a new custodian to look after. I've owned this for quite a few years' now, but needs must.

    A sad parting, indeed. Posterity was blessed to have that jacket in your hands, and I hope the same will be true with the next 'keeper of the flame'
