Too good a Sunday 'not to' go out walkabouts in the hills and mountains half and hour from here. Great Autumnal weather allowed me to sport my 1940 original military issue Duffel, cap comforter and bag. The RedWings are great boots for this terrain, and so myself and the two 'boys' (Ross and Harry) were all set to hit the hills for the best part of the day, armed with flask and goodies (for humans and furbabies! of course).
Some days just remind you how good it is to be alive and how lucky I am to be able to do the things that I can do (physically, emotionally and financially!). This was ONE of those days ! Marvellous to have the work-out too, long overdue!!
That looks like the most incredible, beautiful way to spend a day! Looks like your boys enjoyed their chance to stretch their legs as much as you did. How marvelous to spend the day outdoors, with an attitude of gratitude. Aren't the simplest things in life also the best things?

Great pics and story Paddy, thank you for sharing here on your blog, You and the boys are looking good! Who had more fun, you or H&R? Sounds like a splendid Autumn day in Blighty for an invigorating walkabout-and that vintage duffel coat of yours is fantastic!
