Set in England in 1939 on the run-up to WWII, it follows an upper class British family and how the impending doom affects them and their loyalties. A really nicely shot film that shows how some Brits were prepared to appease Nazi Germany at a price, rather than take the option of a war that many felt could never be won. A wonderful cast of actors and actresses make this a splendid few hour's viewing, as I have just discovered having watched it in a beautiful old 30's Art Deco cinema.
