Scents that make Sense to Men...

A man's choice of scent is very personal and individual and says as much about 'him' as the clothes and shoes he chooses to wear. If you get your scent 'right' for 'you' then others' will let you know about it (people are such a barometer when things are done right). Sadly, nature does like to throw a spanner in the works at times with the chemical reaction of certain perfumes to one's skin. So something that smells fab-u-lous on one person can 'pong' to high-heaven on somebody else!! So rather than 'suck and see' (which just wouldn't go down well with perfume), you should dab and try a little before splashing out on splashing over :)

Some favourites of mine that seem to work for me tend to be leather, coffee and tobacco'ey notes, although there are 'a few' which have more spice and floral notes (it's like music folks, whatever suits your mood or time of the day at the moment).

Those leathery, coffee, tobacco ones I just love are:

KINIZE TEN (Much favoured by the likes of Errol Flynn, James Dean and Humphrey Bogart)

CREED Tabarome (Followers included Humprey Bogart and Winston Churchill)

GARCON 2

Eau de Baux (L'Occitane) - I just love this fragrance and it's reasonably priced.

Jo Malone's "BLACK VETYVER CAFE COLOGNE" (Delicious in an old Film Noir way)

GUCCI "Pour Homme" (just try it, for the price it's nearly as good as Creed costing double)

Florals & Spices

ISSY MIYAKE (Men's original). - you wouldn't believe the positive comments I've had with this.

AQUA DI PARMA (Classic fragrance loved by old Hollywood in 30's and 40's, such as Cary Grant, David Niven, Frank Sinatra and Bogart. Just having a renaissance again and being rediscovered).

ALL OVER FRAGRANCE

Bay Rum (great for ALL OVER the body, hair, aftershaving...just don't drink it!!).
